Should I get the white N4? Should I buy the wireless charger?

I've noticed that only the back is white, which defeats the purpose of it being a different color because I use thick cases. I'd only be able to see a small portion of the white back through the camera/LED peep hole on my current case, and I don't plan on switching to a new case unless an Otterbox Defender is released for the N4.

About the wireless charger: It actually DOES with my current case, but I'm still concerned about what will happen if I upgrade to a thicker case, either for my N4 or when the N5 comes out. I always used the Otterbox Defender, or the closest thing that's available in the case of my N4.

It's still limited edition, meaning higher resale in the future is a possibility. If you like that back better than the other, some day you might decided to use only a bumper or go naked.

Since you're putting a thick case regardless get the white one since you won't be able to see the back anyways. If you ever sell, it will be a little more unique.

The color is pointless if you are going to use a case. get whatever is cheaper. If they are both the same price, get the one you like better.

I would not count on an Otterbox case. It does not look like Otterbox wants to make one. They only make cases for the best selling phones, and while the nexus 4 sales were decent, they were not high enough to grab Otterbox's attention.

I was debating this the other day when I placed my order. I can say now after receiving it I am glad I chose the black. The actual back of the phone is absolutely gorgeous. You will have to see it with your own eyes to understand. Not sure how the pattern would look on the white but I can say the black looks sexy. Also another thing that annoys me like you said only the back is white. If I want a white phone I want the entire thing to be white. Not just the back cover. That just defeats the purpose and makes the phone two tone and unusual. You say you put a case on it so in the end it won't really matter. I used the free bumper it came with and applied the spigen cover to the back of it to protect it as well. Its hard to cover up the back once you see it lol.

I got myself a Ringke Fusion case... its perfect for a white nexus. You can still see the back thru the clear plastic, and the case offers pretty good protection.

In addition to this, one of the big complaints of the fusion case is that it shows a lot of fingerprints and scratches. While I cannot talk to scratches yet, the fingerprints are barely noticeable... I think the white hides them better than the black.

I bought an LG WCP-300 at Verizon for 39.99 and it charges great even with my knock-off Otterbox thick case I got from ebay.

I got the white Nexus 4 which is currently available through T-Mobile with a free wireless charger for $0.00 down and $17 per month over two years ($408 total), making the total cost of the 16GB Nexus plus wireless charger about the same as buying both through the Play Store while paying over time. The back and side of my Nexus 4 are white -- the front bezel and the screen are jet black.
