Should I install the Oreo update?

Try "wipe cache partition." I do it from time to time anyway, especially after an update.

Well Sh!t. I have never done a cache wipe, so I just did one, now Oreo is downloading. I'm not sure if it'll completely download or not, guess I'll see here in a few minutes. Still hoping there's not enough room for it :)

Update: Well the cache wipe allowed the update to download, so went ahead and began installing the update.....sob

Update: installation went fine. I'm using the MS Launcher and I really don't see any difference between N or O. I did see that I gained some gigs.

Question: How do I make my AOD screen display my calendar events like before? Is it dependent on a specific calendar app?

Oreo is horrible! made my icons all crap ! home screen weird.......7.0 is better not worth the upgrade. Now Android Pie i will.......

Mine crashed a lot, did both a fresh install also, whats with the extra settings no need?..... Should of gone straight to 9 Pie . I'll stick with 7 now until a new phone with Android Pie , wasn't much UI difference anyhow. Its like going from windows 7 to Vista

NO!!! Don't update.
I have absolutely no settings in messages.
I can't schedule a message, etc.
All i can do is block someone or add someone to the current message.
I can't even get a my custom background back.
The whole system has turned apps white, including Chrome.
I'm no longer receiving notifications either.
I'm sure there's more issues as well.

And the phone is running sooo sloooow now.

I have an unlocked ATT Galaxy S7 Edge

I wish i knew how to go back to before this update.
Can anyone tell me how or point me in the right direction???

I have had my phone for 18 months with no problems and LOVED this phone when Oreo was installed. Now, I cannot see notification badges on my apps (yes, I turned them on in Settings) if I have unread emails/texts. More importantly, I cannot answer incoming calls. At random, the phone just rings on the caller's end but my phone display looks like the call has been picked up but I cannot hear anything. Nor can I disconnect the call. When I touch the home button, the phone app just closes. Anyone else having this problem???
