Should I switch to the S7 Edge from my S6?

Well, now that we know what the S7 edge has to offer, and knowing that in the U. S. its going to cost about $900.00, should we give up our S6 edge for the S7?

Will be keeping my s6 edge. Its a good upgrade but my s6 edge is still super quick. Will defo get the s8 if I like it.

Or depends on your needs... If the camera upgrades and water proofing, etc aren't that important then stick with the s6e.

Actually the S7 Edge is $795 off contract at AT&T. I'm sure the other carriers won't be far off that figure. Still high but not quite $900. I doubt its a significant upgrade for most S6 Edge owners, especially considering how little they resale for on the secondhand market.

Next 24 ends up being $636 for the s7e

Next 24 runs for 30 months. Doesn't make sense, I know. You can trade in to upgrade after 24 months but the payments are based on 30 months. That brings the cost to $750.

I'm contemplating making the switch from the Note 5. I don't use the s-pen very much and the new camera on the S7 edge is very interesting. It's going to be a tough choice because the Note is still a great phone.

I am doing the same thing, I know note 5 is only 6 month old, however my geeky tech heart wants what it wants and I can sell off the note 5 at decent enough price to lessen the blow...

Same here. From what I've seen it is also slightly smaller than the Note, which will make one handed use a little bit easier. Now I just need to decide whether or not to pre-order.

I went with the S7 Edge to compliment my Nexus 6P...plus I get a Gear S2 out of the deal so how could I say no?

I pre-ordered the edge in silver coming from an S6. The larger battery and better feel - not as sharp as the previous edge pushed me to it. I am hoping I'll get good use out of the edge features. Not too excited about the additional screen size... For me it's going to be how it feels in my hand. I'll find that out when I go to BB after work

I wasn't necessarily planning to switch, but the larger battery, better camera in low light, and waterproofing are hard to pass up. I don't at all like the fact that the edge now only comes in 5.5 inches - I will have to use without a case for one-handed use, so hopefully it's sturdy! Unfortunately with the earlier release this year I am still on my S5 contract from 22.5 months ago (I bought my S6 edge off contract) so I will have to wait if I want on-contract pricing and won't get the freebies for pre-ordering.

I would agree that if your battery isn't getting you through the day and you need better low light pics, then the S7 is definitely for you. I, on the other hand, get through 90% of my days on a full charge. I do carry a backup viivant power cell on days that I need it. The viivant is incredibly small, thin and light. Will fit in any pocket. Plus the marshmallow update will give the S6 edge all the new cool features for the edge screen that the S7 has. Plus no IR blaster on the S7. Ive got the 128GB model, so no storage issues here. Im going to hang on to this S6 and wait for the S8.
