Should I trade in my HTC one M8 for a LG G3 when it's released on Verizon?

Debating on adding a line to get the G3 for a hundred, then cancelling the line, but would like to see some real world reviews first.

...if you cancel the line, don't you have to return the phone? The deal is with a two year contract, no?

DON'T DO IT. A friend of mine just got his today and it made my gs4 feel like a nexus device. A freaking gs4. It's a shame because the look and build is actually stunning.

Yep. Both running nova launcher. They should of went 1080p. Would of been a near perfect phone I think.

Yeah, the best market for g3 would have been office drones who needed crisp office docs and hang the contrast it's bw anyway....sadly the sharpening filter makes small text *harder* to read from what I've seen.

At this time if you are happy with your M8, keep on it.

No, you still have to pay the ETF.

I just got my G3 on Thursday so I've only had a couple of days use. My previous phone was a One (M7). I don't think the G3 is laggy, but the transitions aren't always as snappy as the One. I've seen some friends with S5's and Nexus 5's and I think my M7 spoiled me for responsiveness. I like my G3, but aside from the camera I wouldn't expect it to be clearly better than the M8. And the sound won't be what you've gotten used to, either.

I'm on AT&T but I had the M7 until June. I sold it and bought a G2. I liked the G2 for the snapdragon 800 SOC but other than that the M7 was better overall. I gave G2 to my family member and got G3. I was getting too much battery drain so I traded it for an M8. Other than the camera and large sharp screen I won't miss the G3. The M8 is much better media consumption. Sound is just amazing through headphones and the speaker.

Interesting. I've had both and preferred the G3 strictly based on (what is my opinion) being better for media consumption. Larger screen, same footprint.

Scores of other sites such as Trustedreviews, Androidauthority, talkandroid are reporting this cracking issue today. Looks like a widespread reports issue. It's worth consideration if you're on the fence concerning the G3 or M8.
