Should I update J5 to One UI?

I have a Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016 model) that came with Android 6 (since updated to 7).
As you can see in the attachment, "Samsung One UI Home" is available in Google Play which would replace the current "TouchWiz Home". I'm concerned that updating to this new launcher may slow down my phone as "One UI" was made for newer models. I already skipped the latest security patch/update available to my phone since the last one slowed down the device a bit.
Does anyone here have a J5 with "One UI" installed on it? If yes, can you tell me your experience?

Thank you.

Well once you opt to cherry-pick which updates/upgrades to allow or ignore, that can create stability and performance issues later. In your instance, you're intentionally opting to skip security patches that may or may not address the slowdown issue you experienced earlier. Yes, things can get worse if you do allow all security patches but the odds are much greater that won't be what happens.
