should i use smart cover again?

ok. i just got my nexus 7 replacement today. it was perfect. no defective at all. my last nexus 7, i am not sure if it was actually defective or not. it work fine, but on one day, i was not able to turn it on. On the last nexus 7, i protect it with a smart cover called maybe miko i bought on amazon. it have sleep/wakeup future. I am not sure if the problem was caused by that smart cover or not. in the new nexus 7, I was afraid in using that smart cover again. do you think the smart cover cause the nexus 7 not turn on? should i use that smart cover again? maybe now i use a sleeve. is a sleeve can protect nexus 7 well as the smart cover?

I don't believe the smart cover caused the problem. I bought one from ebay with the sleep wake magnet in it and I stopped using it now and I see no changes in my N7's performance

I have no problems with my auto sleep/wake case.

I got mine off eBay however I like to fold my cover back and there are times it will put my device to sleep because the magnet gets to close. Not sure if it's due to the location of the magnet on the case or just the design of the N7 + design of the case.

Some of the earlier models of the MoKo cases had a minor design flaw where opening the flap all the way and folding it across the back of the Nexus would put the magnet close enough to put the device in sleep mode with the case fully open. This has been fixed in the latest design. I've got another case that's very similar to the MoKo but doesn't have the hand-strap or stylus loop, its a couple of bucks cheaper if like me you wouldn't use a hand-strap or stylus.
