Should I wait until Black Friday for deals?

I've got a Note 5 right now and battery life is, we know how it is on the Note 5. I've been just dealing with it since I'm still making payments on it (AT&T). I know we probably don't know what deals are coming yet, but are the Black Friday deals usually pretty good on these phones? I'm curious about paying off what I owe and trading up to a Note 8. Charging 3 times a day, with low/average use is getting kind of annoying.
Not looking for exact prices, but do they usually offer decent discounts on these things around that time of year?

Just FWIW. I'm on Verizon and was gonna wait til Black Friday too. But once the note 8 was released they had a pretty stellar deal with the trade in so I went ahead and bought it. Not sure what to tell you. It's always a gamble.

there's good deals to be had right now from. $300 trade in to 2 For 1 deals so why wait

I do not ever remember any black Friday having and deals on the Note. It always seems like all the deals are the S series or the cheaper phones.

Was going to wait also, but we got great deals for trading in our note 5's (Verizon) so went for it. Our" phone guy" said the best deals are usually when they first release, but you never know

I came from a Note 5 too. Just do it now. I'd rather have something now then wait and maybe save a coupe bucks

T-Mobile has a BOGO offer for the Note8. $450 for each instead of paying $930 each... I think that's a deal already. open the additional line, cancel it the line once the per-paid card comes and sell the phone.

After the insane deal I got during last year's Black Friday sales (Google Pixel from Best Buy for $240), I'm telling myself to wait and see for my next phone.
