When I go to mobile networks is shows after the new phone was activated I click on logs this is what it says 18:08:24ackage version is vpnclient-3.0-src-package-vpnclient-3.0.2-969-r5430-2014-03_12-30-07.

18:08:24:vpnclient is now running with uid1000.

Is this normal

The vpnclient is just a client that runs on your phone in case you want to access a VPN. If you had an active VPN connection, there would be an icon that looked like a key in your status bar.

The log message is benign... your phone is a portable Linux computer and there are a bunch of clients and daemons that run that you may not ever ultimately need or use.
