I went out to test the S9+ camera today. I'm coming from the V20. Day shot look really good but night shot, not so much. I feel there is a lot of noise, even when the ISO is set to low.

Don't over think it. These photos look amazing. You will be smashing it in no time just like with the V20.

The first picture was taken almost 3 weeks ago by a professional photographer with a Nikon D5100 and the second picture was taken 30 minutes ago with my S9+.

Tx mate Great camera on the S9+. I also have the Note 8 and they are similar in photo quality but the S9+ has less sharpening applied and also slightly better for lowlight when the 1.5 l kicks in.

I'm on the fence with quite a lot of the photos I have seen so far from the 9+.
Although that can be said for any device.
I always say I'm usually the weak point in any picture taking.

Were it me I would stick with your Note. Your B&W photos are looking good.
That’s a fav of mine. Been making B&W photos (35mm, 120 6x6 medium format and 4x5 large format) for a zillion years (those are all film). Unfortunately I haven’t been able to use any film format now for around 3 years but use digital.
Anyway I can see nothing compelling on any of the S9 photos (yet at least) that pushes them anywhere above the Note 8 photos that a lot of yours are.
I would stick with it and see what the next Note brings to the table.
As always, the camera really has little or nothing to do with making a “good” photograph.

I got some better results today! I am using a tripod. I did notice the pictures comes out more shaky with the aperture set to f/1.5.

For a phone that is trying to sell itself on the "revolutionary camera" I am very unimpressed with some of the results that people are getting. I think I'll pass on this one, or wait for a software update.

Mine just got an update this morning. Not sure exactly what was updated. It shows 8.0.0 Android, 9.0 Samsun Experience, Knox 3.1, Securitiy Feb 1. The update mentioning correcting some bugs with the camera and a few other things.
