Idk about the uag monarch , but the OtterBox defender is not slim. The slimmest to me in the OtterBox family has always been the Commuter or Symmetry cases.Anyone tried out both the Otterbox Defender and the UAG Monarch? I'm trying to decide on a rugged case I already have the monarch and paid a good price for it but I'm curious about the OtterBox. Which one is slimmer?

One more thing to add to this - looking at reviews on the ESR Camera protectors (which I bought but probably will return without installing) is they fog up with temperature changes. This exact same thing happens with screw-on lens filters on traditional cameras when you walk from a cold area to warm area, for example. So it appears the lens protectors are not making a proper seal with the camera lens itself, and the last thing you want is moisture trapped between the protector and the lens. There was another review stating they damaged their phone trying to peel them off.
I guess at the end of the day, most phones these days have large camera arrays, and most people just use normal cases without any dedicated camera protection - you don't read about many people damaging their camera lanses. With the right case, they are pretty far recessed anyway, so even in your pocket or whatever, there will be little to no contact.
I can't seem to find exactly what Samsung uses on the front of their lenses, but I assume it's the same Gorilla Glass Victus as the rest of the phone (I would like to confirm).
Should've taken the photo but now it's on. Black s22 ultra 128Gb with black Otterbox defender
Caseborne R in blue.
Unflattering photos, but just dropped it on the phone to see if it fits with the lens protectors and it does.
Corner and lip protection - especially on the front - is significantly better than what you would find on the Ringkes or the Spigen UH.
This is going to replace my Ringke Onyx for now until I find something better. I don't trust any of the drop ratings but this should withstand a drop better than the Onyx.

You got the ESR camera protectors on there?
I'm wondering if the ESR protectors actually touch the back of the phone at the base or stop short of hitting the back?
Yeah, they're on there. The protectors fall short of touching the back phone glass. You can actually see a bit of the silver rim of the metal camera housing if you were to look real close.
This is the ESR Metal Kickstand Case in clear.

I first bought the Speck Ombre with clear / burgundy but returned it because it was WAY too slippery! At least it was easy to put on and remove. I then tried the Otterbox Symmetry in clear but couldn't even get it on the dang phone! Returned it too. This ESR is great looking and feels good in the hand. Not too slippery and the kickstand feature will come in handy! My backup is a smoky Tech21 Evo Check which feels good and also easy to R&R. Both have good drop protection.
I like the look from the back with this ESR to see the white phone but I also love the front with the smoky Evo Check because it blends into the black screen when it's off. Both are great cases!!
