Showed In-Store Verizon Rep Super Clean 2.8

Verizon's sending me a CPO-ed phone right now (hopefully it'll be here tomorrow). What should I put my phone back to before I send it back? DL01 odin? Or is that too far back and dj05 would be better? I already have the dl01 odin file - that's the only reason I'm suggesting it. Thanks in advance, guys.

DI01 is actually best.

put whatever on it that your box says if you still have the box it came in. I got my Fascinate in mid january, and it had DI01 on it, and that is what it says on the label on the box - DI01

Last night I was at vzw store with my wifes phone it keeps having problems and she wont let me root it but anyways I had my phone and the guy working there saw my phone and was like dude how did u get it so sweet looking so I just showed him. He could not belive I had 2.2 running and stuff. But anyways he has a sf and wants me to show him how to do this stuff kind of funny right lol.

Like Adrynalyne said, I would be very careful about doing that. Don't know who is a "company" man just looking to do whatever they can to impress the bosses trying to get a promotion.

No this guy ain't I went to high school back in the with him so I know him its just funny u would think if u got paid to know about phones and around them all day rooting would not be somthing u have no clue about.

Oh, didn't know you knew him that well. And agree about what you said.

Yes, that is funny, haha. Especially because with Fascinates, these phones suck without rooting! I remember a month ago when my mom got an iPhone, the sales rep tried to talk her into a Fascinate, how it was the best phone they have (not that the iPhone is better to some of you) and I was like mom, no, I know better. The rep was pissed at me, but I knew my mom wasn't going to root her phone or anything, and plus she's never had a smartphone before so I know for her needs, the iPhone is the easiest to use.

Not forever? Might buy a new phone with tax return money (which I won't get for awhile, I haven't filed yet). If not, I'm certainly going in Verizon the second I'm eligible for an upgrade and getting something else.

Come into best buy and trade-i the Fascinate for the Thunderbolt...

i had to take my usb cord to get replaced and the verizon rep needed my phone....he didnt say anything but he had a confused look on his face when he was looking thru my phone..

Should've told her to give you a computer and 5 min and you could be back to stock and no one would know your warranty had been voided. ;) Not to mention they just reflash most of the phones they get on warranty anyways so they don't even know most of the time.

2:48, to be exact...=)

That's kinda funny. I work at a corporate VZW store and honestly almost all reps couldn't tell the difference about a rooted vs non-rooted phone. I happened to hear a customer who just recently bought a fascinate on ebay telling a rep that her phone was sending blank text messages. I immediately knew the phone had been rooted and not fixed correctly. I had the same problem when i was using rom manager to flash roms. I stepped over to the rep and asked to see the phone...sure enough the baseband version and build number were different. Basically this customer bought a phone that no one else in the store knew how to fix. I ended up taking it home tonight to flash it with official software. She will have a fully bloated vzw fascinate tomorrow.

Nice touch fixing that for her.
