Shut Down After Boot Animation

Hey all,

I'm experiencing something rather strange with my Nexus 6P, and I was wondering if anyone had some insight on what might be happening or how to further diagnose the issue.

Earlier today, my phone died after the battery percent hit 0. Later I plugged in the phone and tried to boot. The phone made it to the end of the boot animation, but immediately after the animation finished, the device shut down.

I let the phone charge for about an hour and the same thing kept happening. Note that this phone does have the bootloader unlocked and does have TWRP installed. Luckily, TWRP boots without an issue, but wiping the cache did nothing.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be happening?
Is there anyway to debug the phone while it's booting to see what's causing the shutdown?

So, if you boot into TWRP and let it just sit there for 5 minutes or so does the device remain powered on? If so it sounds like something (bad) happened to your OS image. I'd suggest reloading the OS from scratch. If you have a backup image (you didn't mention if your device is rooted) you could try loading that; or you might be able to load an OTA build (or just modify the flash script to leave out the step that wipes /data).

I'm facing the same problem.. I have Moto G4 Plus with STOCK ROM and all of a sudden at night it switched off and when in the morning i tried to power it on it just shows the boot animation and powers off automatically. Phone was at 53% battery level and now its not charging at all !

Tried factory reset, TWRP clear cache etc. Tired flashing custom ROM, Stock ROM again but still not fixed. Let me know if you are able to fix your problem and how did you fix it.

i have twrp. tried wiping cache, data still not fixed.
tried flashing new rom.. still not fixed.
