Gave up on netarchy 4.1.9.1 on Vael, i spoke too soon, i had major battery drain with it tonite, it was the worse ive ever had.
i switched to ziggys so far and its doing great. will try it on a full days work and see how she lasts.

I recently rooted for the first time and have been using vaelpak and I really like it. The only real issue that I am having is that since i got it 4g never picks up a signal and it used to as i am in a 4g area. I am wondering is 4g supposed to work in vaelpak and if so what might my poblem be and how would i resolve it?
Also as I am new to rooting I am still a little confused on t whole concept of kernals. is there a specific kernal I should switch to ? and if so how do i change kernals?
Any help is greatly appreciated thanks a ton..

4G should work have you updated your radio & wimax lately? If not give that a try.
As for kernels it really depends on what you like.if you can get a king kernel to run great for you then go with it.If you get a netarchys kernel that seems to work better for you then run with that. Really it comes down to how things run and work on your phone.if your not into Overclocking or undervolting then maybe a stock kernel is best for you.
Most kernel developers put "how to's " up on how they want you to flash them. Here's a quick run down of how to flash a kernel.
1) download kernel.zip to sdcard
2) reboot into recovery
3) make nadroid backup in case things don't work out with kernel.
4)flash kernel.zip
5)(optinal)wipe cache&dalvik
6) reboot

Go to VaelPak settings mods/patches. Flashable mods. Tap on the radio tap yes and it'll do the rest for you like the video shows. Also to flash a kernel go to vaelpak settings. Mods patches. Go to kernels and tap whatever kernel you want and it'll do the sane, flash it automatically. I show this in the video and mention it in the original post...
I just used the VaelPak settings app last night for the first time to update my Voicemail app. It's pretty slick.

Ummmm I refuse... My Battery is a trooper 11hrs 37m 18s im at 67%
With Heavy use lol This thing out performed my BB thats just Blasphemy

Stock Kernel Running Myn
No SetCPU it was causing Lag issues again *IDK Why*
No Juice Defender
Screen at auto
Sync only New is turned off
Everything else is Pretty much Stock
I have ATK Set to aggressive with certain apps ignored
all I did was the Batt stat Wipe and thats all...
BTW an hour passed I dropped 5% Heavy use...

Heres how mine is always set up.
Gps,wifi, location always off
Screen always 25%
News and stocks are off in sync
Fb set to sync contacts only once a day, gmail set to sync mail and contacts only. Weather every 3 hours.
Set cpu to under clock, profile 284 min,384max on screen off, daily is 768 max,284 min.
Using latest ziggy kernel where he said its ok to under clock, using smart ass kernel over interactive (which is better?)
Using Myns rls 3
Using juice defender to shut off mobile data during the am when I'm not using my phone.
Lots of txting, some taking , and a bunch of browsing.
I don't know where and what else too look at or do.
I also use swype.
