Signal strength on T-Mobile?

Was wondering how the signal strength is for T-Mobile.

I got to play with a note 8 at best buy today. Very impressed. Puts the I-phone to shame if you ask me.

In all actuallity its just a tad bigger than my G5 is with a case on it.

Currently I have an LG G5 and signal is terrible with this phone.. Wifi isnt the best either.

I ask because if you purchase through Samsungs web site they are offering $300 for a trade in on the Lg G5.
That is very tempting.

Signal strength will vary GREATLY depending on location.

Traditionally, T-Mobile excels in metro areas versus rural.

I live in socal ca and the signal reception is phenomenal. In certain buildings not so good.

I would d/l “sensorly” and take a look at the LTE map for your area.

But for me TMobile rocks.

In the SF Bay Area, the iPhone 7 and note 8 is about the same. I commute to work by train everyday, and in this one particular area, the iPhone and note 8 always goes from LTE to 4g... Usually I can push the iPhone to go back to LTE by turning on and off the airplane mode, but for the note 8, it remains on 4g which sucks.

I just switched to T-Mobile so I can't compare to other phones, but I can say it I have better signal than I ever did with Sprint. The service can be a little spotty at my house in a somewhat rural area but I still get decent signal. However in town I get amazing signal with the highest download speeds I've ever seen. Even at my dad's in the middle of nowhere I get close to 70mb download which is better than any other carrier.

The only downfall of the note 8 is that it doesn't support the upcoming 600 MHz band. Which should provide great coverage inside buildings.

Wow, your T-Mobile is sure faster than here. I live in a city, and I get around 22 download on LTE.

The Note 8 is the only phone I've ever owned that doesn't work in my office. Even had it replaced because I assumed it was a lemon. Same thing with new one though. Had a Pixel previously (on T-Mobile also) and it maintained LTE no problem. The Note 8 can't even keep an EDGE connection. Going to have to dump this piece of junk real soon.

I checked my speed at work yesterday and got the fastest speeds yet on this phone. I'm on T-mobile as well.

I had the lg v20 and used to step outside my house just to use the phone... Now i. Don't have that problem

One thing I noticed with T-Mobile is the speeds suck indoors, but are way better than Sprint outside. Mainly in big stores like Home Depot.

If your phone isn't new, than it can be a technical problem so it's better to check it in a service center. Also it can be a low quality of a certain network, which one do you usually use? Did you change it and noticed some differences in case of signal?

I actually came a cross a cell phone stkre selling a mint used G5. I put it side by side by mine. Same terrible signal reading jumps up and down just sjtting there. Then at the T-Mobile store next to the note 8, the nkt 8 had soljd signsl and the sjgnsl stsyed solid no jumping around. I actually got to play with a V30 in store and it didn't get as good of signal as the note 8.
I'm thinking samsung had some really good radios in there phones.
