Silent Mode Bug?

I work in cube hell and as a courtesy to our coworkers we put our phones on vibrate throughout the day.....

With the DX I was liking I could simply swipe the unlock backwards to turn silent mode on. But selecting silent mode turns off vibrate. You can go into the sound options and turn vibrate on for calls but that's a royal PITA. If it's on it will turn it off on silent mode and leave it off...

Is this a bug or what?

Just hold down volume down key, and it turns vibrate, and then silent.

Thanks! I'll try the volume button trick. Does anyone know if other Android phones behave like this? I'm wondering if it's not something I should let Motorola know about.

It's probably not a bug... people do actually put their phones on silent you know... What they should have done is either replaced the "no sounds" swipe with "vibrate" or at least added it as an option.

I noticed that when I put my phone in silent mode, I still hear txt notifications. I thought it was odd. I typically have air buds plugged in so its not a big deal for me, and I hope a subsequent bug fix will resolve this.
