T-Mobile Galaxy S8 SIM card icon next to text message

Hey guys,
I got my phone today and when I went to t-mobile to have them help me switch my SIM card from iPhone to s8+, I noticed there was a SIM card icon next to my text messages. After googling a little I found out it's because it's a dual SIM? I only have one SIM and intend to have one SIM only. I have tried to go into SIM manage but because I only have one SIM inserted, there is no option to "turn off" the icon. It's really bugging me that there's an icon there.

Is there any way I can remove that icon? I've tried improvising it by choosing the pink heart SIM icon instead but I really just want no icon lol.

Please advise!

I've used dual SIM phones with only one SIM and I couldn't get rid of that icon.

You could always try using another messaging app, like Textra (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.textra) or Android Messages (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.messaging).

Certain T-mobile phones like S8 and LG V30 has built in Digits app capabilities which means you can have more than one phone line on the same phone without having multiple sims. As matter of fact I have 3 lines and one SIM card on mine without installing Digits app from T-mobile.
