has anyone been able to get a replacement dna when they complained to verizon about the sim card issue? I have had my dna since the first week of December and I want to get a brand new phone as a replacement. Anyone try yet

If they replace it, you won't be getting a brand new as a replacement. You'll be getting a refurb. You can request a replacement, though. They'll just want to try to "fix it" by replacing the SIM, reseating it, or cleaning it before actually giving in.

Yes and no. Yes they will replace it, no you won't get a new one. I'm on my second refurb.

Try putting a layer of Scotch tape on the backside (opposite side from the contacts) of the sim card.

You will get a replacement it may be new or a refurb. Sometimes they do give you a new phone but it comes in a "service box" not a retail box. Try cleaning the SIM with Windex then push it in as far as the tray will go. Since I did this my SIM issues have stopped.
