I'm about to travel to Vancouver BC and I'm wondering what pros/cons are for buying (renting?) a SIM card vs roaming for the week that I'm there. I expect to use about 1.5 - 2 GB the week I'm there and will likely use about 200-300 minutes voice. Thanks.

All comes down to price really and you might be able to get a deal of some kind with a local sim. That is a lot of data though hope you are able to find something affordable.

Thanks y2whisper. I should have been more specific, local Vancouver pricing is something I was hoping someone would be able to help with.

Ah. in terms of an overall picture I would look to see what Wind Mobile, Koodo and Fido have to offer. See if there is a plan you can even hop on for one month and then hop off. Likely cost you around $40-50 Wind doesn't have LTE and the service isn't the greatest in some buildings but they do have plans with unlimited data.

Hopefully someone that lives in BC can chime in.
