Was watching lucidmike the other day and he was using a simple widget called application monitor. I found it in the samsung appstore and upon installing I found it to be a crazy simple app. It basically a external task manager monitor that reads cpu usage. When it turns red something in the background is chewing up cpu time ie. Battery life.
A simple click on takes you to the task manager so you can manually close the app. Some apps idle at 0% while others will continually eat power even while suspended, this lets you know fairly simple whats bad and whats good.
