Simplest way to revert to bone stock from rooted/rom'd state?

So I upgraded to a Gnex last week and now it's time for me to revert my faithful old DX to stock so I can give it away to a family member or sell it if they don't want it.

What is the simplest way for me to do this? I had previously rooted and installed the Sensei ROM and froze the updater with Titanium.

Should I simply unfreeze the updater - unroot with Z4 and let it update then factory reset - or do I have to go the .sbf route?

It's been so long since doing this I'm having a hard time remembering what I should do.

sbf is your best bet. It really is not that bad to do and it will get you back to stock gingerbread.

On another note. Is there a way for me to get the old DX set up as a portable gaming sort of thing for my kids to use when we travel? Kind of like how you hear of people giving their kids their old iPhones to use as an iTouch when they upgrade?

I just am not sure how I'd install Angry Birds and other free games on it since my Gnex is now linked to my Market Account.

Not sure if you can have more than one devise linked to the market ( i know you can the amazon market). Worst case you would just create a new google account for that device which is free to do. You will have to do all of this over wifi but you should be able to use it that way.

I have my bionic, old Droid x, and Xoom on my market account. It works fine. I use my droid x like an itouch.

And you can create a wireless hotspot on your new phone and the old phone can connect to it. I think there is one that works with ad hoc as well as infrastructure.
You might test Skype on the old phone too. Or Google voice.

I pay for the hotspot function from verizon, and my x and Xoom connect just fine. I even use it to play xbox live.

My bionic is also rooted, and I tried out a wifi tether root app that also worked fine.

Either option should work.
