Since there's no notification light, what is your solution?

This is my first phone without a notification light. I know that I could just keep the Always On Display turned on, but that's not very noticeable from a few feet away. Is there another "workaround"?

Using the camera led as a notification LED? Besides apps that showed notifications on screen (sort of like AOD, but most, like NoLED, would just display a notification icon floating on the screen), that's pretty much all your options. Not sure if LG has a built-in option to use the Flash for Notifications or not, but maybe LightFlow does if the OS doesn't have a stock option.

Or get a smart watch. That'll light up and/or vibrate when you get a notification :)

I always needed the led notifications on my phones but ever since I have had my huawei watch for a year or so now that need is completely gone. All my notifications I see on my wrist and I love it. So that is my advice. Now hopefully they get that android wear 2.0 update out soon.

The option is under accessibility >hearing

Yeal if you want to see a strobe light flashing then that's a option

I just double tap the screen when I need to see it.

I kind of like not having the notification light. It can be very intrusive and annoying at times. I check my phone way too often to care either way lol

I sent an email to the Light Flow developer yesterday. He said he will take a look at using the AOD for a notification on the G6 when he gets back from vacation. He also said Samsung's system prevents him from doing anything with their AOD, although they do have an LED light. He wasn't sure at this point what he could do with the 6.

The one thing that LG phones had me addicted to.

Yep. That was what I loved about my g3. I was considering upgrading to the g6 from my note 4 but no notification light on the g6 might be a deal breaker for me. Might have to try out a s8+ or wait to see the note 8. My note 4 has been a very good phone for me.

Thank you!! I really love the look of the G6 but was saddened that there was no notification LED. Your NoLED suggestion sounds perfect!

I use the AOD in combination with a wearable. Only the notifications I care about get to my wrist, and the others are just a glance away.

That's also a good way to not miss any significant notifications!
