Siriusxm app sucks... NO STERN

I have Sirius in my truck and the wifes truck so I figured I would try the 7 day trial on the siruis app and it has some decent musiic channels but I really wanted Stern.... They just lost me... I found a few other apps that claim Live Stern but I can never get any of them to work...

Yeah I hear ya, the no-stern was a dealbreaker for me on downloading the sirius app. It has something to do with contractual issues, some kind of bs like that. Atleast stern is available on the streaming sirius website, maybe theres a way to make your phones browser report itself as a desktop pc instead of a mobile, thus possibly letting you get the stern feed on your phone. Kind of like what worked for getting hulu on phones until hulu found out and squashed it. Atleast theres the jason ellis show, which is no stern but is still somewhat entertaining and is on faction so should work with the sirius app.

I think you can't get Stern replays on Shoutcast. Just search for it. There are a bunch of Shoutcast apps in the Marketplace. I remember when I had the Pre, I was able to search and their were 3 to 4 stations that had Stern.

Actually, I prefer the android version of the app to the iphone/ipod touch version which does not have background capability. The app has the same content as the iphone/ipod version but runs in the background which is great so i can use the phone for other things at the same time. Big win.

I believe that's a limitation (multi-tasking) of the iphone/ipod and not the application.

Correct. The sirius/xm devs built the android version correctly to take advantage of the os, which is cool.
