sky platinum 4.5 cannot project on screen

Bought cheap Sky platinum to run Android Auto on my Chevy's MyLink using WiFi. Android Auto app says this phone cannot show on radio's screen. Is there a workaround or is phone just not capable?

Probably due to the fact the phone is running an ancient Android OS that does not meet the minimum requirement for AA.

Also, by default, the phone wifi will be disabled once AA is launched ( you have to disable it via AA settings). And based on my past experience, using wifi connection of a hotspot will significantly impact the GPS location acquisition time because Google location database does not know where your wifi hotspot is.
