Skype owns Qik, but updated it first??

Anyone use this yet on their TB?? Saw some bad reviews in the market... But they were all on other phones, I just can't seem to care about those ones ATM...

How's the lag on video calls compared to Tango, Yahoo Messanger, and released version of Skype?

Just tried it with my wife. Video isn't bad. Just a tiny bit laggy. I switch between 3g/4g and home wireless but no improvement. Video voice sync is off though and I can barely hear her through the phone speaker. Had to use the earbuds to hear her. Tried you switch cameras but it doesn't work.

Same version as on the Evo..Works great. We've been using it for months at work on our Bolts. Before anyone doubts, I work for HP and our engineers make things work on things they weren't supposed to work on at all.

is this a skype substitute? Does it use your skype account info? Just trying to figure out exactly how this Qik app relates to the Skype app....tia for any info

Just tried it with the wife also, not bad... She is on Sprint, so I'm not sure if it was their network, (even on 4g she only gets 4mgs DL/1.5mgs UL compared to my 17mgs DL/6-9mgs UL average) but it was still choppy. Pretty much the same as our use on Tango...

Qik used to be a different Co. that was bought out by Skype, they still use different sign in methods to answer your question ada...

I tried to run this tonight and I can't get my front cam to work with this program I keep on flipping and it shows only the back camera.

I checked and everything works fine with tango.

Uninstall and re-install fixed this for me. You can't switch between cameras.

Tango has been great for me, I'll stick with that for now since it also works with iPhone users

I don't see what good this will be on the TB, HTC has yet to fix the audio problem. Tango works fine EXCEPT the person on the other end (iPhone) can't hear what I'm saying.

I would LOVE to take video WITH SOUND, but I CAN'T. They say the fix is coming this JUNE with gingerbread, a lot of good that does me NOW.

Fring with headphones works ok. The leaked skype is hit or miss. I haven't tried the updated yahoo yet. Tango was horrible for me. Qik works the best to me, so far.

I just wanted to let you all know that our engineers at Tango are working very hard to improve the sound quality on your Thunderbolts.

For now, turning the volume down 'one click' on your device should help with some of the audio feedback you may be hearing. Using a headset while making a call should also help with the static issue as well.

I love Qik it works the best on my phone.

Skype was hit or miss
Tango I could never hear the person
Fring is pretty good as well but it drops calls periodically.

I have had none of these problems with Qik video is nice quality and I can hear the person even if I don't have my headphones or bluetooth in.

Does Qik do "PC to Phone" or just "phone to phone"?
