Skype will not start

A little back story. After receiving April OTA I factory reset my phone. I started my 2xl fresh with no restore. Skype will not run. Shortly after displaying the Skype splash it will crash. Removing and installing the app does not help.

Judging by all of the negative reviews of the latest update to the Skype application it's probably just as well that you can't even run the app.
Beyond that all I can report is that I was able to install it and get as far as the 'Sign in' screen. I'm not a user so I can't get any further.

Same issue here. Although mine had a reset while on the March 2018 patch level after I noticed this.

Also tried Skype lite - same issue. Crashes instantly on the splash screen. Never gets past.

Not sure what to tell you - I just installed the Skype Lite app and was able to get to the Create account and Sign in screens (I don't have a Skype account so that's as far as I can take it).
Perhaps clear data and clear cache and then try again?
