Skyraider 3.0 Vanilla out tomorrow!

I have pretty much finished 3.0 for both Vanilla and Sense. There is a small amount of work left. ALL of the bugs from RC2 have been fixed. I will include the new BFS #1 kernel because it is by far the best. It's Friday though so I probably won't finish and post them until Saturday afternoon. Everyone enjoy your weekend.

Can't wait to see what he has done with the Vanilla version. Mine's blazing fast so hopefully he's is faster. I hope he has took most of the criticism as constructive and changed some things. I know he said he was going to offer both a 4x4 and 5x4 grid one too. So we shall see.

Any word on this... I think it is based off the new ruu. Also I heard cm6 is coming final today. Is that off the new ruu too.. I have never used anything but SR.. but I think I well try whatever comes first.

CM6 is here already in ROM Manager. Just flashed it about 10 minutes ago. It was horrible. For some reason the first boot touching the screen didn't register. Then it rebooted itself. Second boot I got all the way into putting in my google account then it restarted itself. Third boot I got to the main screen looking at the live wallpaper it restarted itself again. Fourth boot was back into recovery to put my ROM back on. I think he has botched something pretty bad with the INC build!

As far as SR3.x vanilla / sense the next version he said would be out today based off the OTA. We shall see.

There is another ROM called virtuous that simply makes SR look like crap for the sense guys.

I read xda before flashing cm. Thank god... sounds like its horrible... virtuous is good? Is it based of the OTA?

Yeah pretty decent ROM. A lot of good mods done to it and it's fast, but sense based. Unfortunately I didn't read XDA, yet, and flashed it when I noticed it in ROM manager while still eating dinner. Boy was I pissed....wonder if he's in the process of fixing it?! RC3 was better than that!!

Also do you care to give a link to the CM6 discussion over at XDA? I can't seem to find a CM6 discussion over there, I must be going blind or crazy!

Yea I was looking forward to trying CM6. Thanks for the virtuous link. I may wait for SR 3.0 vanilla off the new OTA. Is the virtuous rom smooth/fast?

Eh it was ok, but I like vanilla. Hence the reason I was psyched about going with a finally stable version of CM6, pure vanilla not this skyraider or home grown swage.......god this is annoying I was all hyped up from the announcement waited hours for it to show up and it doesn't work.....

Here is an update from ihtfp69...sounds promising even for Q

Sorry to keep everyone waiting. I have been doing a lot of testing/debugging in this next release. I have made a lot of changes. Things are moving along but slowly. I finished the code and started creating the MM themes for the right button remap. Once they are finished and tested I will get to work on posting the update. This will be a flash over if coming from RC1 or RC2.

I ditched the 5x4 for now. When I have the overlapping squared away, it will simply be a MM theme. I kept the 5 columns in the application drawer and the modified button bar at the bottom. I went 50/50 on the rest of the theme. The status bar is no longer partially transparent and I left out those signal bars everyone hates.

There are a lot of new things in this release as well. One obvious new item is the new ROM base from the leaked RUU.

Things fixed:
1. Global search button works again
2. Reverted workspace to 4x4
3. Expanded status bar area is transparent
4. Baked in new Voice Search and fixed sending MMS/SMS/Email with it
5. Car Launcher music button will launch HTC Music
6. Tab completion works by default
7. Right button on launcher is re-mappable via MM themes.
8. Signal bars fixed
9. New Google Voice with GV widgets
10. Hulu/Pandora work by default (no demon voices either)

I'm probably missing some things here. I will post an updated change log when I release the update.

Eh I may give it a try and see what's up with the vanilla version of it. Other than that, he isn't giving me anything I don't already have. Glad he ditched the 4x5 crap though.
