I guess nobody knows what you'll get in the event of an insurance replacement.....
if its insurance and they replace it with a new device it will be a slcd but if its refurb most likely will be amoled

I wouldn't be so sure. Engadget's AMOLED Desire vs. SLCD Desire comparison showed that the SLCD model burned through the battery FASTER.

Yea i saw that before and was suprosed because i always thought lcds used less power than the amoled my battery life has been acceptable for the standard battery doesbt seem any worse than my friends amoled one so i dont mind lol.
Considering that battery life isn't a major problem for Desire owners (from what I've seen here, anyway), I'd guess that it will only make a big difference on the Desire. Given that battery performance is already such a pain on the Dinc, my guess is that SLCD will make less of an appreciable impact -- you'll be struggling to keep your device charged just like the rest of us!
