I seriously starting to doubt if this feature was even going to see the light of day. My seems activated, as i checked it searching for Bluetooth. Hopefully we'll see this get to "full strength" with apps soon.

For a user like me it definitely is! I live in search on my device. Having additional functions available just from there will be incredibly useful to me, for sure.

So let me understand what this is. I search for something and it also searches the setting menu? Is that it? Isn't this something that existed on Samsung phones like forever?

Not just settings.. It will be throughout the system as more features roll out. So if I search for a contact for example, now there's a drop down menu to call/text work, call/text mobile, video call (duo), email, or web search for this particular contact.

Once there are more third parties open you'll be able to take similar type actions from search.

Part of native 9.0, so just launching first on Pixel. Will eventually spread out to other devices, I'm sure.

I think you'll see a lot of system toggles, but once more developers engage the function we should see deeper actions available. At least that's what I surmise from the developers site.
