Slingbox/Slingplayer connection issues

Quick question on any sling issues that others have had and see if it's just me or if there are any solutions. Have had a slingbox in my home for several years now. Up until last September I was an iOS guy and never had a single issue using slingplayer/slingbox on my iPhones 3,4,5 - but now that I've been converted to Android the experience is so poor I have to be VERY motivated to use it.
Every few minutes the G3 loses connection and I have to exit and restart the app ("connection failed. Please make sure your phone and Slingbox are connected to the internet")

The slingbox, satellite receiver, ISP, and network at home have not changed - the only new bit in the equation is the G3 instead of the iPhone.

It does appear the problem is worse over WiFi (strange) than over the AT&T 4G network. (Which seems odd to me)

Any thoughts?
 
I have the M350 with Fios 75/75 and on Verizon Wireless and just got my G3 and just tried the app. No issues stream HQ quality on the G3 or amy other Android phone i have.
