Slow charging in ultra power saving mode.

My battery drained and the phone shut down. I turned it on and used ultra power saving mode. It barely charged to 59% after 6 hours. Then, I turned off UPSM And, it went from 60% to 98% in a half hour.

No, I wasn't using the phone during the six hours while it was charging.

So it wasn't in any mode while it was charging. (UPSM slows the CPU, but when the phone is off, the CPU isn't running at all.) Is that what you're saying? (Having the phone turned on is "using the phone" - you don't know what apps were running in the background without running an app that would show running apps.) I think you mean that the phone was on while it was charging. If the battery is bad, that could cause slow charging.

Are you still using the original battery? Do you normally charge it to 98% (or 100%)? Do you normally discharge it to less than 30%? If yes to any of those (and more so if yes to more than one), it may be time for a new battery.

I meant I had the phone on. But, I wasn't using it. I usually charge it to 100%. It usually drains to about 60%. I have a habit of charging it at bedtime for a few hours. That night, I forgot to plug it in. I've done that before and, it has only drained to 20%. There may have been an app running in the background. I need to start checking that. This is actually a replacement phone. So, I have another battery I can try.
