Slow charging

I had this problem when using an extension to my charger to make it longer...seems the length of the charger was the problem if that makes any sense...or it was just coincidence...using the shorter charger cords I do not get the eror...some charge cables do not permit the proper amount of voltage to flow...but if you are using original charger and no extention I would think it was a problem with phone...hope ypu get it figured out.

I had this problem and was able to fix it by cleaning out the charger port on my phone. The little cover that for the charger port fell off a while ago and the port filled up with pocket lint which was not allowing the charger to connect properly. I cleaned the port out with a sewing needle. I was surprised at how much lint had accumulated in there. Once I removed all the lint the charger was able to fully seat and I am now back to fast charging.

I hope this helps.

Ive had this problem since I got this phone less then a year ago. Ive been thru 3 chargers all purchased at $30 a pop at Verizon. Including the original charger. Once I begin to the get the "slow charging icon" it even gets to the point that I have to jiggle the cord around to get it to charge. Yet when I get a new charger all is fine, for a few mths that is! I just got a replacement phone yesterday, not new even tho under warranty & no charger was sent with this. Not one of my old chargers would even charge the replacement! I found a new cord & plugged that in & yep, it charged both my current phone & new one. So whats the issue, the phone or the charger (s)?! Verizon cant answer that, they are baffled! Their suggestion, charge them both up to test they are able to charge, which I already did, switch to the replacement just incase which now means saving every darn thing on my phone, & send the old one back. And hope this new one doesn't do the same thing, although it wouldn't charge with my old chargers! I love the phone but all these issues are making me crazy! Ugghh I have a headache now!

HI, I Have a similar issue but it only just started the other day. I have the HTC one and I just got me an OTG cable for it and after using it with my HTC One it decided that the OEM charger and cable I have been using to charge will give me a slow charge unless I switch to the OEM? duh I am using the OEM charger lol I restart and the message goes away until I decide to use the OTG cable agian. I would say its just a bug in Android.

Mine does this too. Purchased a 2.1a output charger from amazon and it still gives me the warning. All chargers do except for the charger I kept from my samsung galaxy nexus external batt charger. This one seems to charge fine everytime. Go figure.

My Phone has been charging slow.. and i am on 3 different chargers now... Doesn't even tell me "slow Charging"... Last night i plugged it in around 10pm.. it was at 48%... when i woke up at 8am... It was only to %84 Percent... its at %100 right now, but as soon as i disconnect it, i guarantee ill be down %10 within an hour without touching it!! its fine! Upgrade is Next Friday! Decisions Decisions

Should be covered under warranty or extended warranty, if you have it.

Something is using the battery. Check the battery screen and press the graph at the top to get the details. My guess is it is an app or you have Wifi turned on and have poor Wifi connectivity.

With my mostly stock DNA I take it off the wireless charger in the morning and it is at about 85% at the end of the day. I have great Wifi at home and work.

Did a Hard Reset on my phone.... Then, logged into google... Which i only use to Sync Google Play Music (No contacts, pics, emails, nothing)... Seems that's the culprit! But with only 10 GIGS Of storage after apps... I have more music then that... So i stream...

I ONLY get this message when I plug into the factory fast charger! And sometimes it goes into fast charge sometime after the message. I can tell it is fast charging because the connector at the phone gets very warm. I believe this started happening after the upgrade.

Hi Jennifer,

I've been having the same issue for weeks, both in car and at home. I've tried different cables (OEM or non) with different outlets, same thing. It's not us; it's the phone. :)

Would a charger really go bad in four weeks though? Because that's how long I've had the phone. And I get the alert with every charger I use.

I'm having the same issue, if you use multiple chargers I found that I get this msg with any charger I use. It happened with my other phone after I used 2-3 charges. I don't think it can be fixed either sadly... I'm using the factory charger as well. Maybe contact you phone company and maybe they will send you a new factory charger? Just don't use any other charger afterwards.
