Why does it take so long to download apps on my Samsung J-3 6.0.1?

Try Settings, Apps, then Clear Cache and Clear Data for the Google Play Store, Google Play Services and Download Manager apps. Reboot the phone afterwards.
I'm not very optimistic that it will fix the problem, but it's worth trying first.
Get back to us if no go.
