I never restore apps when I factory reset or swap phones. I always like a clean boot and install the apps manually myself accordingly. You might want to try that if you are still have issues with slowness/loading.

I try to download a app like Amazon and it says 27 mins. Seems odd

Strange, took me like 5 -10 mins wasn't bad. Have roughly 15 apps from play store.

This is a carrier issue , non hardware related.

However a WiFi connectivity update did hit the phone so if you're having over WiFi it may be good to do the update first to be safe

It comes with a cable, just plug the two phones in together and pixel automatically pulls over all apps, photos and sets up all settings as is from your old phone

I was attempting to transfer everything from my S6 to my new Pixel with the quick switch adapter and I keep getting a message that I can't transfer data to the attached device, please download android file transfer for Mac. I have selected "File transfer" on my S6. Not quite sure what the issue is here. Any help is much appreciated. I thought this process would work seamlessly I am clearly doing something wrong.

Some people have had problems with Wi-Fi when restoring settings from a previous phone. Go to Settings -> ... More -> Network settings reset. That should solve it.
