My apologies in advance if I should've posted this in the maildroid vs k9 thread. If so, mods feel free to move.

Lately, whenever I attempt to check my email at work "hosted off site" nsneed@companyname.com, i get the following error message.:

Unable to send or receive messages for the (nsneed) account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR Can't get lock. Mailbox in use
Server: 'www.companyname.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No

The name and password part is odd enough, considering that it has never been changed. I contacted our email host company and the first question he asked me was if I was having this email pushed to my phone? I said yes. He stated that my problem was that my pc and evo are "fighting" to check email. This didnt make alot of sense at first.

I deleted the acct off of the evo and sure enough, I could check work email on my work pc. I am using windows live mail to check my work email.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Maildroid is by far one of the greatest apps i have. Thanks again.

The problem is a setting that needs to be set in maildroid. The issue is that your pop server allows only one pop session per account. Go into your inbox, menu, account preferences and select connection management. Change the radio button to 'close connection when exit mailbox'. This should solve the problem, if not, send me a pm.

Wow. Worked perfectly. Thank you much. And thanks for such great support on a FREE app.
