Small Paper Weight

Hey. After trying to upgrade to gingerbread on my Infuse 4G I got this message on my display:

"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again."

After opening Kies and connecting unit it asks for a recovery code from a previous PC to run emergency recovery.
I don't have a recovery code. Do I now have a small paper weight? :'( :-[

I kinda bricked my phone on accipurposely, and GTG unbricked it.

This happened to me recently and I thought I bricked my phone as well. I'm assuming the reason why you ran into issues while upgrading your phone is because most likely you did not run Odin as an administrator and then at some point unplugged your phone/battery. There is no need to GTG unbrick it even though it says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again." Just restart the process but instead, right click Odin and select "run as administrator". Select PDA in Odin and choose your firmware upgrade that you downloaded and viola. Watch your phone upgrade.
