I've had my Droid X since August 2010, and have had no real problems with the screen until two days ago, when the very bottom of the home screen began flickering on and off and displaying blurry vertical lines. It only affects about 1/10th of the screen at most. Sometimes the bottom third of the dock is obscured. It's really just an aesthetic problem for now (although that bugs me in itself), but I'm concerned that it's going to spread and become a major problem. I'm running 2.2.1. I've always had many, many apps installed, which causes things to run slowly at times, but I've never had screen issues before. I usually use Launcher Pro, but I tried reverting to the stock launcher (although I haven't tried uninstalling LP) and the flickering remains. I've also pulled the battery with no result. I keep my phone on most of the time, only turning it off once a week or so - I don't know if that's burning out the screen. Any advice?
