That's a very small difference. Probably because of the OGP's larger screen.

Physical screen size doesn't matter just resolution. Both screens are 1080p, so it's a wash.

I did just that. Very happy with my decision. The GPro is a great device. Doesn't have all the fluffy of the s4 but I think it's better. Great screen (LCD is better than samoled) smooth, great customization options and a good camera. Loving the stock keyboard. Plus the super cool notification light.
And to answer your question, the screen is better. Better outdoor viewing and more realistic colors.

To get more realistic colors on the gs4 amoled change the screen mode to movie. With this option it's the first time I've seen an amoled display show proper colors.
