Looking to just turn off all notifications at night using smart actions, such as text, email, and apps. But I do want my ringer to stay on, in case of emergencies, so I ringer to silent is not an option.

Anyway to setup a smart action to do this?

I use quick profiles for this. I missed this feature that was native to blackberry when I made the leap to android

I guess I'm an idiot. I would like smart actions to turn on wifi when I'm at home, but turn it off when I'm not since I am normally not anywhere I can get reliable or even fast wifi - at work we are on a fractional T1 which is very slow compared to 4G - I'd rather stay on 4G. But at home I'm on fiber. Turning off wifi away from home doesn't seem to be an option? I told it to use location services. I suspect that is tied to wifi.

The only real option right now is to disable background data which will take care of all but text messages. Unfortunately they haven't given us enough options to take care of it, yet.

Location is tied to wifi. You could set it based on time of day. I would set 2, one for work that turns wifi off during work hours and one that turns it on outside of that.

I know its a pain to have to activate it every time but you could also put a widget on your home screen.

There is a widget available for that, and that's what I did. I have been trying to think of a good reason for smart actions, but so far that's been the best I can come up with. I guess it's not a lot of use to me. Still I can see where some folks might find it pretty useful.

For the ringer, set it to silent first. Then add a VIP Caller Mode and add the numbers that will ring when they call during the night. I did this and added my brother and parents as VIP callers. Once my brother called after the ringer silent time and the phone rang.

Shift work and smart action do not go together just easier for me to use apps. As far as wifi I rarely use it being unlimited and in 4g. I like the idea behind the smart actions I just cannot utilize it
