Smart Lock / Trusted Places doesn't seem to work

Google support have just confirmed that it's a known issue and they "are working on a resolution and will advise by email when a resolution is obtained"

My trusted places no longer work when the screen locks after the display goes off. It still works with the power button not locking the phone if I am in a trusted place. Any thoughts?

Trusted places and devices is intermittent for my Pixel XL.
As of the Feb update, these features as well as BT turning itself off was introduced.
March update offered no fix for me.

Sucky BT overall has been the MO for this phone since day 1. Limited range and some BT devices drop out a lot.

Mine has gone a little wonky now and then, a reboot seems to sort it out. Much better though than my Nexus 5, where the feature didn't work at all. Ever. Not even once.

Sorry no, it was a support chat on my phone. However with the latest 7.1.1 patch 5/03/2017 the issue has been resolved for me.

Bah!! Sorry for the false post.... It worked for two days post the updated and now it's back to broke
