I'm not sure it's THAT insecure. How would you as a hacker exploit that? It's no more insecure than BT headphones. Which BTW, you can use as a trusted device.

there have been all kinds of news articles lately that there is a known security issue with BT and that devices can be hacked through it. I don't use it for that reason alone. Microsoft is set to remove BT devices in windows.

That security flaw was for ALL BT connections and it was patched a while ago.

read the news daily and have yet to see anything come through about the patch and it wasn't that long ago. do you have a link?

but not for me. I checked last night and there were zero patches or updates for my tablet. are all Samsung tablets ble like the 10+? if not, I'm not taking the chance until I get a patch and it doesn't look like that is coming through from samsung.

My Tab S2 hasn't updated in almost a year. It's not one of my trusted devices.

The vulnerability is during the pairing process though. Even then, they have to be within a certain distance and be "listening" and have special equipment and programs. All of which would be fairly obvious.

Many of these vulnerabilities, although dangerous, are impractical to implement.

It's so weird on my s8 and my note 9 trusted places wouldn't work for me at home . It kept getting my address wrong. Now it's working flawlessly on my n10.

It didn't work with my Note 9 either. I pretty much gave up on it.

I don't trust any places including my house ... Just reading here

I'll just stick to opening it when I want to. I wouldn't want just anyone getting into it if I were to have a party with lots of people or something like that.

Yeah I'm that way never used it .. I think Face ID gets the job done as soon I pick up phone to view ..

Face unlock is even less secure that trusted devices or places.

Everyone says that but nobody is grabbing a pic of me to unlock phone ...photos don’t work I’ve tried to fool it ..uncheck faster recognition in settings ..in trusted place you have my phone without pic and password it’s open

Based on this thread, that won't work either. Lol

In any case, I don't use Face unlock, nor trusted places.

You'd have to have my phone AND my watch (or Car) in your possession to unlock my phone.
