Smart Network Switch - does it work for you?

On my old Note 2, I found the Smart Network Switch was useless. It switched to Mobile Data when I left WiFi coverage, but didn't switch back to WiFi when it should. The phone worked better with SNS turned off.

When I upgraded to the Note 4, I hoped this was sorted but no, SNS still doesn't switch back to WiFi when it should.

Has anyone else found SNS to work properly? Any comments?

I messed with it for a bit and it seemed flaky so I turned it off. I leave both radios on now.

I found having it on affected my Netflix connection to my chromecast.. when I disabled the smartswitch it fixed the issue.

Thanks guys. Looks like it's really pointless then. I'll continue to leave it off.

I tried it for a while on my Note4. Often while sitting in WiFi coverage for lengthy periods, it would switch to 4G then back to WiFi then back to 4G, as if the wifi was flickering on/off. Other users on same WiFi did not have issues. Turned off smart switch, and haven't noticed it doing that anymore.

Leaving smart switch off for now.

Are you on Kitkat? cuz I saw this option with Kitkat on my verizon Note 4...but since i updated to Lollipop, I don't see tht option anymore. In my opinion, with the way 4G LTE stays lighted even when I am on connected to Wifi, I think by default with lollipop Smart switch is Switched On..I can't find an option to turn it off as It would have been very helpful for me!

Just upgraded my Note 4 to marshmallow and thought that would fix it but no such luck much better to leave it off.... when I leave Wi-Fi even though it shows I have 4G it will not connectconnect, it's pretty much trash.
