Smart Notice never updates

Even though every option is checked, the Smart Notice never updates. It's permanently on the welcome message.
Any ideas?

Did you solve the issue? I have the same problem and cant find a solution anywhere.

Is Sync Activated... Goto Settings > General > Accounts and Sync.,... and Sync all of your accounts.. then goto Home screen, Smart Notice/Weather panel.. and Sync it..

This happened to me once when I turned SYNC Off when setting up the G4.. so you could try...

If all else fails.... Do a hardware reset and make sure that you leave sync ON (the pull down Notification panel) when you set up your accounts and phone

sync is on, and I've tried (multiple times) to manually sync the panel. No luck.

I really don't care to do a hardware reset right now, as it will also involve me resetting up a company blackberry service, RSA key, etc. so it's more hassle than I'm willing to deal with right now for this.

I've cleared the app cache, same result. When I remove the data from the smart setting app, the widget has 3 cards waiting for me, just like when you first set up the device. The problem seems to be that the app is running ( and I see it has services running in the settings), but it's not talking to anything. Example: I use the LG fit app to count steps. When I reach 100%, the app will show me that, but no card appears. Same for weather: if I go to the app, I can see a weather alert, but no card appears.
