I'm moving from the Lg G3 to the GS6 and wanted to know if u think Samsung Smart Switch is a good app for me to transfer my data even though it's on Google. Or would you recommend a different app.

Yes smart switch is fine IMO but you should aways back-up your LG first before you wipe it
