Smart things app battery drain?

I have my galaxy watch connected to my phone at all times since the s9+ but never used the smart things app till the s10+. Has anyone else had noticeable battery drain while the app was in use? I hope I'm not the only one. I've never had this problem with my s9+.

I have both the new and classic smartthings app loaded and I haven't noticed an appreciable battery drain.

Yep. Called " Smartthings Classic".

What's the difference

The classic app was the original app released by Samsung for Smartthings. Later, they came out with an update which was a complete rewrite of the app, but it didn't have all the same features as the classic version. Over time, Samsung has been adding features and improving this app, but I still like the layout of the older classic app so I continue to use it.

Back to your original question, I don't see any real battery drain having either app running on my S10.

There are masked videos running in the background of legitimate banner ads on "Cheetah" apps. My battery was losing 80% of its charge overnight. I read this article, uninstalled CCleaner (the only one I had on the list) and two other battery apps and my percentage was 91% this morning. https://www.xda-developers.com/cheetah-mobile-ad-fraud-android-apps/

Very odd coming across this today. I have noticed weird battery life on my S10+ and for the life of me couldn't figure out why until yesterday. while researching I went in to the Digital wellbeing app and saw Smartthings was the only app showing in the utilization circle. Uninstalled the app list night and that things seem normal. Will keep an eye on it the next few days to see.
