Smart unlock add trusted place wont work

[Android Central Question]

I got a new samsung s8 and am trying to add addresses to the trusted places for smart unlock. My home address is unknown and if i try to clear the home address it comes up with could not clear alias. This all worked on my s6 though. Ive tried all the other fix it sites but nothing is working.
