Smartworld App

I'm having trouble getting the LG Smartworld app to work here in the US on the H815. Anyone know how to set it up? Whenever I try to download something it gives me one of a few different error messages. Either "Please check your account. Try later.", "Phone not supported", or "Service not available. Please try again. [CODE:271005]".
I'm guessing it's because my LG account says USA under country, and the app isn't available on US models. I would try to create a UK account if LG's website worked :(

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
 
I'm in the US (Sprint) and just logged in to LG Smartworld and downloaded a keyboard theme with no problem.
 
Smartworld should be available in the USA. It's available in Canada. I don't have it installed, but it shows up in my available installs.
 
My question is mainly for people who have the H815 international model, because I don't have the option on my phone to select United States when I start Smartworld.
 
was about to post the same thing yesterday. Same exact problem with my H815 in the US. Only solution i can think of is installing the US smartworld version or installing a US Rom.
 
I figured it out! Couldn't install the US version of the app because it says the H815 isn't supported. Here's what I did to get it working:

1. Delete your LG account if you already have one (Completely canceling your membership under LG account info, not just removing the account from your phone)
2. Turn off phone and remove SIM card
3. Turn phone back on and go into Smartworld
4. Create a new LG account. Having the SIM removed will allow you to select which country your account is based in (I chose UK and selected UK for using Smartworld)
5. Enjoy new apps, fonts, and more! (Global TV is a great one if you're into TV stations from other countries/languages)

I did have an extra step in there but I don't think it's necessary. I used Hola VPN to spoof my connection into thinking I was also in the UK, but it should probably work without doing this. But if for some reason upon LG account creation it still defaults to USA and won't let you change it, this extra step should work.

Do you need wifi when you have the sim removed?? I have no wifi here at home.
 
Unfortunately I think you do need wifi since you need to create the LG account with the SIM out. Hope you get it working at someplace that has it!

That doesn't work for me as I cannot get rid of my lg account it seems. I already tried registering on different LG pages andobviously they do not act as one. So somewhere still parts of my account fly around and I don't know how to get further.. help?
 
Hmm, I was able to delete my LG account multiple times while trying to figure this out and it ended up working for me. Are you sure you are canceling your LG membership and not just removing the account from your phone? I found it by going to Settings>Accounts>LG Account>Account Information>the 3-dot menu in the upper right>Cancel Membership. This will make you type your password in a couple times and send you an email saying you deleted your account. If that doesn't work, maybe try registering under a new email address?

That would be very nice because there it works. But allthough I use my Gmail.com account I get Switzerland all the time..
 
LG doesn't care because they haven't made up their minds if perhaps they want to offer this Service in Switzerland. It works in Germany and we have the same language.. So what the hell is the problem?

The path you mention, is that in the APP or on a Homepage? I would need a way through a page because I can't even log in with the APP..
