SMP-905 bought in HK still on 4.4.2. Recommended to root?

Hi, I bought the LTE international version of Note Pro 12.2 in Hong Kong. It is still on 4.4.2. The warranty has run out. I am running tsf and there is no lag. Besides the lag in displaying preview of photos (under any UI) and not being able to backup/clone the entire device, I am happy with the device. Any point to root the device?
