SMS and battery life

Does any of these SMS apps use more battery life then the other?

There used to be a bug in the stock app that wouldn't let the phone sleep, which killed the battery. That's been fixed now. I haven't really noticed a difference b/t stock & handcent.

I think the battery is fine with all the apps (post-patch of course), but as for features, I actually would still prefer the stock app because of it's simplicity and to me, it just needs to work, and Handcent and Chomp didn't work for me sometimes, so that was really annoying.

Sprint upped the size to 2MB in MMS... this means no more resizing a full rez picture to send, which is why I originally downloaded handcent in the first place. I like the customization of Handcent (custom backgrounds) but it wasn't worth how much slower it is. I recently went back to stock.
