Sms bugs

The only real problem I've had with this phone is the messaging. It seems like the app doesn't always work properly sometimes its slow and laggy. Also I've noticed that when I'm trying to reply to a person that I have been messaging it sometimes sends me to a totally different contact that I didnt ask for. I hope HTC can fix these bugs with the sms.

and for the lag issue
open the message app
menu
settings
-check "delete old"
set a limit (default is 200)

I noticed when I got to about 500 texts it started to lock up. set it to a 200 limit and it stopped lockin up

Maybe try a reboot as well. That seemed to fix a sms issue for me.

Changing the amount of text messages before deleting reduces lag significantly but I still am not a fan of the default texting app. Sometimes when I click on a name, it comes up with someone completely different and when I sent a response, the notification on the bottom of the app doesn't go away if you back out of it to quick. I think its a step up from the Droid X I was using, but still needs some work. Favorite SMS app so far is GoSMS.

"SMS wrong contact" bug should be fixed with os 2.3 coming in late may early june iv heard.
