SMS in Messages app stopped working after AT&T Security Update

My Messages app stopped working after the AT&T update. When I open messages and click on a single person-to-person existing test, it closes and gives me the error "Unfortunately, Messages has stopped". What's weird is that it DOES NOT do this for group messages. HELP!!

That's strange. Reboot your phone 2-3 times and see if that fixes anything. Sometimes new installations take a few reboots to settle in. Also, go in and see if there are any updates to the messaging app. Finally, try google hangouts for SMS messages and see if that can work for you.
